How To Write An Assignment Overnight

There are plenty of reasons why some students end up procrastinating and leaving things to the last minute. A big part of adjusting to post-secondary life is learning how to time manage because in high school students are not expected to work under such tight deadlines. For this reason "all-niters" are a common scene on college and university campuses, as students work all night racing to get their assignment complete overnight, because they are due the next morning.

This raises one question, how do you write an assignment overnight? Well aside from the obvious, answer with lots of endurance and coffee, there are some tested tricks that work to make the overnight writing process a little less painful for students.

  1. Learn How To Brainstorm Efficiently

Different concept brainstorming techniques work for different people, however finding an effective way to get the creative juices flowing is very important if you intend to finish your assignment overnight. Research a few different ideas and read some different articles, see if there is an angle for you to take that will make for an engaging writing piece.

  2. Research Quickly

Unfortunately if you have left your assignment until the last minute you are fairly limited in how much research you can do. In fact, now you have to cope with the challenge of doing accurate and thorough research on a very limited timeline. Try to use resources that are already confirmed and easy to verify such as medical journals and news articles, be sure to work on your "sources cited" list as you go so that you won't have to go back and do it later.

  3. Work Smarter, Not Harder with an Outline

Even if you are working overnight you shouldn't cut corners and skip the outlining process because it will make your writing come across sloppy and disorganized. Instead work on your outline as you research and sort your findings into 3 body paragraphs (review the 5 paragraph essay structure) when you learn how to write a great outline your essay quality (and speed) will dramatically improve. Clever students know how to write an outline "while" they research so they are essentially doing two things at once.

  4. If All Else Fails Get Some Help

There are academic writing services available online for students who are in a pinch. You CAN pay someone else to write your assignment for you overnight, if really don't think you can do it yourself. Hiring someone to write your academic paper has its own sets of benefits but it may be ethically frowned on. I guess it really depends how desperate you are and how much of your grade percentage the assignment is worth.
